Inspired by gothic horror literature, particularly The Monk, this piece explores the unsettling space between sanctity and corruption.

I wanted the figure to feel less like a traditional monster and more like a forgotten religious presence — something ancient, silent, and wrong.
The warm muted palette and dim candle-like lighting were used to create the feeling of an old painting hidden deep within an abandoned abbey.

The background figure was intentionally kept subtle to create a lingering sense of unease and quiet psychological horror.
