Some news from Copenhagen :)
Well, it's not really news anymore… but it has been a few months since new Stelling’s album with my illustration on the cover went on sale.

This time, my sketch* is placed on the sketchbook cover. By the way, the paper is very nice. All of my drawings for the album were done on that exact paper.

The building in the illustration is not a random! In fact, it's the Stelling company store itself that's depicted here :)

*A good example of how a commissioned "sketch-style illustration" differs from ordinary sketches.

While a regular, short sketch for myself takes a little time (10-20-30… minutes), an illustration for a client is a completely different story.

To achieve the final image, it's necessary to spend 2-3 days (or more) and a couple of packs of paper searching for the right style, angle, material, whatever.

Working on a commission is never EQUAL to working on your own pieces.
