Currently, the Far Eastern leopard is on the verge of extinction. According to the data of 2022, 121 individuals have been preserved in the wild in Russia and from 8 to 12 in China.

It is the most peaceful subspecies of the leopard and the only one that does not attack humans.

Each leopard has its own unique spotted pattern, thanks to which scientists distinguish these predators.
